It is better to have little and be righteous than to acquire great riches with injustice. | Better is a little with righteousness Than great income with injustice. |
Finally, brethren, let your minds be filled with whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, whatever is excellent, whatever is worthy of praise. | Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things. |

And learn to do good. Pursue justice and rescue the oppressed; listen to the plea of the orphan and defend the widow. | Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor, Obtain justice for the orphan, Plead for the widow’s case. |
If we are diligent in observing all of these commandments before the Lord, our God, as he commanded of us, then this will be our righteousness. | And it will be righteousness for us if we are careful to follow all this commandment before the Lord our God, just as He commanded us. |
Make your ways known to me, O Lord; teach me your paths. | Make me know Your ways, Lord; Teach me Your paths. |
Then I came to realize that all toil and skill in work derive from one person’s envy of another. This also is vanity and a chase after the wind. | I have seen that every labor and every skill which is done is the result of rivalry between a person and his neighbor. This too is futility and striving after wind. |
Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up. | Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification. |
Treasures obtained by wicked means profit nothing, but a righteous life brings delivery from death. | Ill-gotten gains do not benefit, But righteousness rescues from death. |
Riches will be of no avail on the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. | Riches do not benefit on the day of wrath, But righteousness rescues from death. |
Blessed are those who are persecuted in the cause of justice, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. | Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. |
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry. | The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears are toward their cry for help. |
You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am wonderfully made; awesome are your works, as I know very well. | For You created my innermost parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. |
In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me. | In You, Lord, I have taken refuge; Let me never be put to shame; In Your righteousness rescue me. |
However, whoever lives by the truth comes to the light so that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been done in God. | But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God. |
Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time he may exalt you. | Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time. |
He continued, “Then put away the foreign gods from among you. Bend your heart to the Lord, the God of Israel.” | Now then, do away with the foreign gods which are in your midst, and incline your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel. |
And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.” | Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” |

Welcome anyone whose faith is weak, but do not get into arguments about doubts. | Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not to have quarrels over opinions. |
We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law. | We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles; nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified. |
For no one can be regarded as justified in the sight of God by keeping the Law. The Law brings only the consciousness of sin. | Because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin. |
He made him who did not know sin to be sin for our sake, so that through him we might become the righteousness of God. | He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. |
For one believes in the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved. | For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. |
There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save or to destroy. Who then are you to pass judgment on a neighbor? | There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you, judging your neighbor? |
For Christ is the fulfillment of the Law for the justification of all who believe. | For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone who believes. |
