Bible Verses about 'Romans 3:23'
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus. | For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. |
Because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin. | For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. |
But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, but it is the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction. | But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction. |
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. | Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
And not only this, but we also celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope. | Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. |
And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. | And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. |
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. | For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. |
For one will hardly die for a righteous person; though perhaps for the good person someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. | For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. |
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. | For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. |
But the gracious gift is not like the offense. For if by the offense of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many. | But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. |
For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous. | For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. |
So that, as sin reigned in death, so also grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. | So that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. |
What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? | What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? |
Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? | Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? |
For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin. | For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. |
And do not go on presenting the parts of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, and your body’s parts as instruments of righteousness for God. | Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. |
For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under the Law but under grace. | For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. |
What then? Are we to sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Far from it! | What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! |
But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life. | But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. |
For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. | For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Far from it! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.” | What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” |
Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. | There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. |
For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. | For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. |
For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. | For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. |
And those who are in the flesh cannot please God. | Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. |
