Bible Verses about 'Savior'

The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! For today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
I have been the Lord your God ever since I brought you out of Egypt. You must acknowledge no God but me, for there is no other savior.Yet I have been the Lord your God Since the land of Egypt; And you were not to know any god except Me, For there is no savior besides Me.
Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church.Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.
Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms.Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Selah
Slaves must always obey their masters and do their best to please them. They must not talk back or steal, but must show themselves to be entirely trustworthy and good. Then they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive in every way.Urge slaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be pleasing, not argumentative, not stealing, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect.
Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!Why are you in despair, my soul? And why are you restless within me? Wait for God, for I will again praise Him For the help of His presence, my God.
So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choice of you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.
I love you, Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.“I love You, Lord, my strength.” The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my savior, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. The Lord your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will rejoice over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.
As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.But as for me, I will be on the watch for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.
This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.
But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last.Yet as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last, He will take His stand on the earth.
Help us, O God of our salvation! Help us for the glory of your name. Save us and forgive our sins for the honor of your name.Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; And save us and forgive our sins for the sake of Your name.
He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.Who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself by taking the form of a bond-servant and being born in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death: death on a cross.
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.
Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf. Therefore He is also able to save forever those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to the riches of His grace.
For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.Knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.Looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.And having been perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey Him.

For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
