Bible Verses about 'Soul'

Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?
Kind words are like honey— sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.
And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life?
Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the decrees of the Lord are sure, making wise the simple.
And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him. From there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find him if you search after him with all your heart and soul.
I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him.For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.
Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him.For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him.
In the same way, wisdom is sweet to your soul. If you find it, you will have a bright future, and your hopes will not be cut short.Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, you will find a future, and your hope will not be cut off.
Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God.As a deer longs for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you, O God.
For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. For he satisfies the thirsty, and the hungry he fills with good things.
The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.O God, you are my God, I seek you, my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
For I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing.I will satisfy the weary, and all who are faint I will replenish.
I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before him?My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?
When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.
I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word.I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope.
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain.I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah

I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”

Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul.

All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet:
