- A soft answer turneth away wrath:
but grievous words stir up anger. - Hatred stirreth up strifes:
but love covereth all sins. - And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
- A froward man soweth strife:
and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
