But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. I will bless my people and their homes around my holy hill. And in the proper season I will send the showers they need. There will be showers of blessing. For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. And I want women to be modest in their appearance. So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world.

There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.
