Then the Lord God said, “See, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.
Hence, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “no idol in the world really exists,” and that “there is no God but one.”Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.
Thus you shall keep my commandments and observe them: I am the Lord.Therefore you shall keep My commandments, and perform them: I am the Lord.
In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and of spirit, making holiness perfect in the fear of God.Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. With all of these, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one.Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
As God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering.
You are indeed my rock and my fortress; for your name's sake lead me and guide me.For You are my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name’s sake, Lead me and guide me.

So then, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God; for those who enter God's rest also cease from their labors as God did from his.There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Turn, then, and live.“For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!”
So then let us not fall asleep as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
Banish anxiety from your mind, and put away pain from your body; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, And put away evil from your flesh, For childhood and youth are vanity.
He said, “Then put away the foreign gods that are among you, and incline your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”“Now therefore,” he said, “put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to the Lord God of Israel.”
Pay to all what is due them—taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
But as for me, I will look to the Lord, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.
The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever else you get, get insight.Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.
Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work. But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and consecrated it.Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
