The one who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! | He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. |
He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with him. | He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. |
I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete. | These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. |
But Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.” | But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. |
Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. | Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. |
And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him. | And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. |
Abba, Father, for you all things are possible; remove this cup from me; yet, not what I want, but what you want. | Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. |
Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.” | And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. |
The end of all things is near; therefore be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers. | But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. |
Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of the Father is not in those who love the world. | Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. |
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. | And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. |
But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. | But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. |
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. | These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. |
Only fear the Lord, and serve him faithfully with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you. | Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you. |
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. | For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. | But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. |
Athletes exercise self-control in all things; they do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable one. | And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. |
Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you. | Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. |
O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure. | O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. |
Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And just then there appeared a woman with a spirit that had crippled her for eighteen years. She was bent over and was quite unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Woman, you are set free from your ailment.” When he laid his hands on her, immediately she stood up straight and began praising God. But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had cured on the sabbath, kept saying to the crowd, “There are six days on which work ought to be done; come on those days and be cured, and not on the sabbath day.” But the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger, and lead it away to give it water? And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen long years, be set free from this bondage on the sabbath day?” When he said this, all his opponents were put to shame; and the entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things that he was doing. | And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him. |
Now the works of the flesh are obvious: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these. I am warning you, as I warned you before: those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. | Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. |
But the scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. | But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. |
By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. | But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. |
Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell. Put things in order, listen to my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. | Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. |
If any of you sin without knowing it, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, you have incurred guilt, and are subject to punishment. | And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity. |
