Thou (3/4)

You are all-beautiful, my love, without the slightest blemish.Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.
You shall not hate your brother in your heart, nor shall you rebuke your brother in any way, lest you bear sin because of him. You shall not seek vengeance nor bear a grudge against the children of your people. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.
This rather is the type of fast that I wish: to loosen the fetters of injustice, to undo the thongs of the yoke, to set free those who are oppressed and to break every yoke.Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
Indeed, the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any two-edged sword, it pierces to the point where it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and the intentions of the heart. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
The Lord, your God, will bless you as he promised you. You will lend to many nations, but borrow from none. You shall rule over many nations, but none shall rule over you.For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.
Do not assert that the past was better than the present, for such a statement is not a sign of wisdom.Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.
You are my refuge and my shield; I put my hope in your word.Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that the fact that you are fasting will not be obvious to others but only to your Father who is hidden. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
In God alone be at rest, O my soul; it is from him that my hope comes. My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
Yet even so, because of your great compassion, you did not completely destroy them, nor did you forsake them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; nor will the waters engulf you. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not consume you. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Before the mountains were brought forth or the earth and the world came into existence, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
May the favor of the Lord, our God, rest upon us. And may the work of our hands prosper— indeed, may the work of our hands prosper. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
Those who revere your name place their trust in you, for you never abandon those who seek you, O Lord. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Because in my eyes you are precious, because you are honored and I love you, I will give people in exchange for you and nations in return for your life.Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
O Lord, you are my God. I will exalt you and praise your name, for you have accomplished wonderful things, formulated in ages past, faithful and sure.O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
If you confess with your lips, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
O Lord, you grant peace to those who are steadfast because of their trust in you.Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Never will I forget your commands, for through them you have given me life.I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.
As for you, my child, take strength from the grace that is in Christ Jesus.Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
For just as in one body we have many parts, and the parts do not all have the same function, so we, though many, make up one body in Christ, and individually we are all parts of one another. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
I, I alone, am the one who comforts you. Why then do you fear mortal men who must die, human beings who must perish like grass?I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass.
I have given you a command. Be strong and brave, do not be afraid nor dismayed. I, the Lord, your God, will be with you wherever you go.Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
But when the disciples saw him walking on the water they thought it was a ghost and they cried out, for they all had seen him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them, saying, “Have courage! It is I! Do not be afraid!”But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out: For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
You, O Lord, are light for my lamp; O my God, you make my darkness turn to light. For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.

But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me; you are my glory and the one who raises my head high. But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

Bible verse of the day

See what love
the Father has bestowed on us,
enabling us to be called the children of God,
and that is what we are.
If the world does not recognize us,
that is because it did not know him.
