| Jesus replied, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. | You shall keep these things that I command you today in your heart. Teach them to your children. | I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I do ask you to protect them from the evil one. | I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. |
| Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?” | Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? |
| Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outer self is continuing to decay, our inner self is being renewed day by day. | For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. |
| Jesus then said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, even though he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. | Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them. | The seed sown among thorns is the one who hears the word, but worldly cares and the lure of riches choke the word and it bears no fruit. | He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. |

| As for you, teach what is consistent with sound doctrine. | But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine. |
| But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you. | But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. |
| His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. Since you have been faithful in small matters, I will give you much greater responsibilities. | When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it, for God has no pleasure in fools. Fulfill the vow you have made. | When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. |
