| For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake. | For he has graciously granted you the privilege not only of believing in Christ, but of suffering for him as well. |

| I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments. | I hurry and do not delay to keep your commandments. |
| Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. | Tell slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect; they are not to talk back, not to pilfer, but to show complete and perfect fidelity, so that in everything they may be an ornament to the doctrine of God our Savior. |
| Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. | Who are you to pass judgment on servants of another? It is before their own lord that they stand or fall. | And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. | See, I am coming soon; my reward is with me, to repay according to everyone's work. |

Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord your God and his decrees that I am commanding you today, for your own well-being. |
