And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. | Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. |
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). | So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” |
And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.” | Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.” |
Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing over them. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. And they all ate and were satisfied. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power.
