- Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
- Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
