Let the wicked abandon their ways and those who are evil their thoughts. Let them return to the Lord so that he may have mercy upon them; and to our God, for he is rich in forgiveness. For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation to the entire human race. It teaches us to reject godless ways and worldly desires, and in the present age to lead lives that are temperate, just, and godly. These are the words of the Lord of hosts: Stand at the crossroads and look around; ask for the ancient paths. When you are shown where the good way lies, walk along it and your souls will find rest. However, they said, “We will not take it.” Jeremiah 6:16	Thus says the Lord: “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. The Lord watches over the stranger and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he blocks the way of the wicked. Psalm 146:9	The Lord watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. protection orphans widows
Who among you is wise and understanding? Prove by your good life that your works are done with the humility that comes from wisdom. James 3:13	Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. humility wisdom life
Rather, put on the Lord Jesus Christ and allow no opportunity for the flesh to gratify its sinful desires. Romans 13:14	But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. desires addiction Jesus
Wait quietly for the Lord and be patient until he comes. Do not fret over the man who prospers because of his evil schemes. Psalm 37:7	Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! honesty life patience
And yet he is aware of everywhere I go; if he were to test me, I would emerge like pure gold. My footsteps have not strayed from the path he established; I have followed his way and never turned aside. Be mindful, O Lord, that mercy and kindness have been yours from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth or my many transgressions, but remember me in your kindness, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord.
