Well (2/3)

I know how to live with little, and I know how to live with plenty. In any and all circumstances, I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need.I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Seek peace with everyone, as well as the holiness without which no one will ever see the Lord.Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
And take the helmet of salvation as well as the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
There is one body and one Spirit, as well as one hope to which you have been called by your vocation. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling.
You shall observe the Sabbath by keeping it holy, as the Lord, your God, has commanded you. You are to labor on six days, doing all of your work then. The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord, your God. You shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your ox, nor your ass, nor your cattle, nor even the foreigner living in your town. Thus your manservant and maidservant can rest as well.Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee. Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
No one should seek his own advantage in preference to that of his neighbor.Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
Remember this: if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly, and if you sow generously, you will reap generously as well. But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Indeed, fornication and impurity of any kind, as well as greed, should not even be mentioned among you. Such talk is not fitting for saints. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints.
If in speaking I use human tongues and angelic as well, but do not have love, I am nothing more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
I did not hesitate to tell you what was for your benefit as I proclaimed the word to you and taught you publicly as well as from house to house. And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house.
But whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never be thirsty. The water that I will give him will become a spring of water within him welling up to eternal life. But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
For I know full well the plans I have for you, plans for your welfare and not for your misfortune, plans that will offer you a future filled with hope. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, since it is the power of God that offers salvation to everyone who has faith—to Jews first, and then to Gentiles as well. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
If you know me, then you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him. You have seen him.If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
How much more valuable a man is than a sheep! Therefore, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath. How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
Can anyone withhold the water of baptism from these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have? Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
What then? Should we sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Of course not! What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
I understand that man’s greatest happiness is to be glad and do well throughout his life. And when we eat and drink and find satisfaction in all our labors, this is a gift of God.I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
For it has been granted you not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for him.For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.
By faith Abraham also received the power of procreation, even though he was well past the age—and Sarah herself was barren—because he believed that the one who had made the promise would be faithful in fulfilling it.Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
Is anyone among you sick? He should send for the presbyters of the Church so that they may pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees a brother in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him?But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
All of these were constantly engaged in prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
But for you who fear my name the sun of justice will arise with its healing rays. You will emerge leaping like calves released from the stall. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Now in regard to the eating of meat sacrificed to idols, we know that idols are nothing in the world and that there is only one God.As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
