Well (2/3)

I know how to live with little, and I know how to live with plenty. In any and all circumstances, I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need.I know how to get along with little, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.
You shall observe the Sabbath by keeping it holy, as the Lord, your God, has commanded you. You are to labor on six days, doing all of your work then. The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord, your God. You shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your ox, nor your ass, nor your cattle, nor even the foreigner living in your town. Thus your manservant and maidservant can rest as well.Keep the Sabbath day to treat it as holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. For six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the Lord your God; you shall not do any work that day, you or your son or your daughter, or your male slave or your female slave, or your ox, your donkey, or any of your cattle, or your resident who stays with you, so that your male slave and your female slave may rest as well as you.
Seek peace with everyone, as well as the holiness without which no one will ever see the Lord.Pursue peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
And take the helmet of salvation as well as the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
There is one body and one Spirit, as well as one hope to which you have been called by your vocation. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you also were called in one hope of your calling.
If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit as well.
No one should seek his own advantage in preference to that of his neighbor. No one is to seek his own advantage, but rather that of his neighbor.
Remember this: if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly, and if you sow generously, you will reap generously as well. Now I say this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows generously will also reap generously.
Indeed, fornication and impurity of any kind, as well as greed, should not even be mentioned among you. Such talk is not fitting for saints. But sexual immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints.
If in speaking I use human tongues and angelic as well, but do not have love, I am nothing more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
I did not hesitate to tell you what was for your benefit as I proclaimed the word to you and taught you publicly as well as from house to house. How I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was beneficial, and teaching you publicly and from house to house.
But whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never be thirsty. The water that I will give him will become a spring of water within him welling up to eternal life. But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never be thirsty; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life.
For I know full well the plans I have for you, plans for your welfare and not for your misfortune, plans that will offer you a future filled with hope.‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’
Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, since it is the power of God that offers salvation to everyone who has faith—to Jews first, and then to Gentiles as well. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
If you know me, then you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him. You have seen him.If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.
How much more valuable a man is than a sheep! Therefore, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath. How much more valuable then is a person than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
Can anyone withhold the water of baptism from these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?
What then? Should we sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Of course not! What then? Are we to sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Far from it!
I understand that man’s greatest happiness is to be glad and do well throughout his life. And when we eat and drink and find satisfaction in all our labors, this is a gift of God.I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one’s lifetime; moreover, that every person who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor—this is the gift of God.
Therefore, you must also be prepared, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.For this reason you must be ready as well; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.

By faith Abraham also received the power of procreation, even though he was well past the age—and Sarah herself was barren—because he believed that the one who had made the promise would be faithful in fulfilling it.By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.
Is anyone among you sick? He should send for the presbyters of the Church so that they may pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven. Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.
For all of us fall short in many ways. Anyone who never makes a mistake in speech has reached perfection and is able to control every part of his body. For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to rein in the whole body as well.
