| And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. | And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him. |
| But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God. | But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God. |
| If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. | If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. |
| So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. | We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us.
