Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it. | Wealth obtained from nothing dwindles, But one who gathers by labor increases it. |

But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? | But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him? |
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. | And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him. |
But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God. | But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God. |
If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. | If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. |
So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. | We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. |
Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. | One who guards his mouth protects his life; One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. |
Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him. | The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him. |
