Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear to my cry; hold not your peace at my tears! For I am a sojourner with you, a guest, like all my fathers.Hear my prayer, O Lord, And give ear to my cry; Do not be silent at my tears; For I am a stranger with You, A sojourner, as all my fathers were.
When goods increase, they increase who eat them, and what advantage has their owner but to see them with his eyes?When goods increase, They increase who eat them; So what profit have the owners Except to see them with their eyes?
Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on my tongue.I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue.
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?
Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry.The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.

You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child. If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to me, I will surely hear their cry, and my wrath will burn, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child. If you afflict them in any way, and they cry at all to Me, I will surely hear their cry; and My wrath will become hot, and I will kill you with the sword; your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age.For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.
May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus.Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus.
Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.
Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.
We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other.
I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me; I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me. I said, “Here I am, here I am,” to a nation that was not called by my name.I was sought by those who did not ask for Me; I was found by those who did not seek Me. I said, ‘Here I am, here I am,’ To a nation that was not called by My name.
For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established— that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
