Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”.Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, But he who gathers by labor will increase.
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
