| Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. | So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. | The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. | For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. | And I want women to be modest in their appearance. | But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. | But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. |
| Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. | Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. |
