| Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in Yahweh. | So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord! |
| Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you. | Give, and you will receive. | As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent. | I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference. |
| Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones. | Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. |
| You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. | Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. |
| Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. | Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord. |
| Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call on him while he is near. | Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. |
| Turn us again, Yahweh God of Armies. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved. | Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved. |
