But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. Hebrews 4:15	For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. sin temptation compassion
Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you. There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7	Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. love neighbor friendship
He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? Romans 6:3	Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Jesus baptism
God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. John 1:3	All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. Word of God creation life

I will show how holy my great name is—the name on which you brought shame among the nations. And when I reveal my holiness through you before their very eyes, says the Sovereign Lord, then the nations will know that I am the Lord. Ezekiel 36:23	“And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,” says the Lord God, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.” sin God holiness
And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. 1 John 2:24	Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. Romans 3:21-22	But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. So also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. Hebrews 9:28	So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
