Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world. 1 John 4:1	Beloved, do not trust every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world. trust Spirit prophecy
But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me. Psalm 13:5-6	As for me, I trust in your kindness; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord because he has been good to me. trust worship heart
So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world. 1 Peter 1:13	Therefore, prepare your minds for action. Be calm and fix your hopes completely on the grace that you will be granted at the revelation of Jesus Christ. grace Jesus Spirit
The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. 1 Peter 4:7	The end of all things is near. Therefore, lead disciplined lives and be watchful in prayer. second coming end times rest
I have rejoiced in your laws as much as in riches. Psalm 119:14	I rejoice in following your statutes more than I would rejoice in endless riches. law money joy
But in your great mercy, you did not destroy them completely or abandon them forever. What a gracious and merciful God you are! And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength. 1 Chronicles 29:12	Wealth and honor are from you, you reign over all. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. Psalm 25:5	Guide me in your truth and instruct me, for you are God, my Savior, and in you I hope all the day long. truth learning hope

Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. 1 Timothy 4:12	Let no one regard you with contempt because of your youth, but serve as an example to the believers in your speech and conduct, in your love, your faith, and your purity. faith love life
Do not deprive each other of sexual relations, unless you both agree to refrain from sexual intimacy for a limited time so you can give yourselves more completely to prayer. Afterward, you should come together again so that Satan won’t be able to tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 1 Corinthians 7:5	Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by mutual consent for a specified time so as to devote yourselves to prayer. So if someone tells you, ‘Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,’ don’t bother to go and look. Or, ‘Look, he is hiding here,’ don’t believe it! For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines to the west, so it will be when the Son of Man comes. Matthew 24:26-27	So if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out there. If they say, ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good. Deuteronomy 8:5	Thus you could understand that the Lord, your God, was disciplining you, just like a father disciplines his son. Father learning punishment
You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. Psalm 16:11	You will show me the path to life; you will fill me with joy in your presence and everlasting delights at your right hand. joy life nearness
Better to be patient than powerful; better to have self-control than to conquer a city. Proverbs 16:32	It is better to be a patient man rather than a warrior, one who controls his temper rather than one who captures a city. peace patience self-control
For you, a thousand years are as a passing day, as brief as a few night hours. Psalm 90:4	For to you a thousand years are like a yesterday that has passed or one of the watches of the night. God life understanding

I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

I ask that from the riches of his glory he may grant through his Spirit that you be strengthened with power in your inner being and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
