The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.
Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things.
Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.
Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.”But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled.
Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, And whoever spreads slander is a fool.The one who conceals hatred has lying lips, and whoever utters slander is a fool.

Not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.
