Bible Verses about 'Burdens be lifted up'

Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight.After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him.
And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven.Then Jesus led them to Bethany, and lifting his hands to heaven, he blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up to heaven.
And Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen.”Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.”
Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted to him.I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.
Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. SelahPraise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms.
I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was exalted with my tongue.For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke.
Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
And in Hades he raised his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his arms. And he cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’And he went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Abraham in the far distance with Lazarus at his side. The rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in anguish in these flames.’
Behold, as for the impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous one will live by his faith.Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.
Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all offenses.Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses.
As they had their pasture, they became satisfied, And as they became satisfied, their heart became proud; Therefore they forgot Me.But when you had eaten and were satisfied, you became proud and forgot me.
Is this not the fast that I choose: To release the bonds of wickedness, To undo the ropes of the yoke, And to let the oppressed go free, And break every yoke?No, this is the kind of fasting I want: Free those who are wrongly imprisoned; lighten the burden of those who work for you. Let the oppressed go free, and remove the chains that bind people.
Arise, Lord; God, lift up Your hand. Do not forget the humble.Arise, O Lord! Punish the wicked, O God! Do not ignore the helpless!
He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.
But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.
Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.
For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up!If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.
Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins by calling on His name.What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord.
A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.
The vine has dried up And the fig tree has withered; The pomegranate, the palm also, and the apple tree, All the trees of the field have dried up. Indeed, joy has dried up From the sons of mankind.The grapevines have dried up, and the fig trees have withered. The pomegranate trees, palm trees, and apple trees— all the fruit trees—have dried up. And the people’s joy has dried up with them.
To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, loving, compassionate, and humble.Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude.
And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.”
Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and flog and crucify, and on the third day He will be raised up.“Listen,” he said, “we’re going up to Jerusalem, where the Son of Man will be betrayed to the leading priests and the teachers of religious law. They will sentence him to die. Then they will hand him over to the Romans to be mocked, flogged with a whip, and crucified. But on the third day he will be raised from the dead.”

A joyful heart is good medicine, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.
