Burdens be lifted up (2/4)

If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up.
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.
The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this: “I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.”For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, says: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me.When I said, “My foot is slipping!” Your loving kindness, Yahweh, held me up.

When God raised up his servant, Jesus, he sent him first to you people of Israel, to bless you by turning each of you back from your sinful ways.God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.
The Lord makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up.Yahweh makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up.
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.
Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread and fish to the disciples so they could distribute it to the people. Then they will hand him over to the Romans to be mocked, flogged with a whip, and crucified. But on the third day he will be raised from the dead.”Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and will hand him over to the Gentiles to mock, to scourge, and to crucify; and the third day he will be raised up.
You light a lamp for me. The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness.For you will light my lamp, Yahweh. My God will light up my darkness.
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly.Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous.
If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.He who doesn’t take his cross and follow after me isn’t worthy of me.
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a kind word makes it glad.
Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal.
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?
How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men!
Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you. So I will bless you while I live. I will lift up my hands in your name.
