Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but those who plan peace have joy.
Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.Deliver me, O Lord, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.
Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.
And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.”
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.
A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he.
Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.Put away from you crooked speech, and put devious talk far from you.
