| If you know me, then you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him. You have seen him. | If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him. |
| And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do as much. | If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. |

| I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing. | I don’t reject the grace of God. For if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nothing! |
| But if you seek the Lord, your God, and you strive with all your heart and your soul, you will find him there. | But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you will find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. |
| However, if we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all wrongdoing. | If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. |
| For the Lord, your God, is gracious and compassionate, and he will not turn his face away from you if you return to him. | Yahweh your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you if you return to him. |
| So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. | If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. |
| If someone among you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without finding fault, and it will be given to him. | But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. |
| And thus we can have confidence in him that if we ask anything that is in accordance with his will, he hears us. | This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. |
| Jesus answered them, “Amen, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to this fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be accomplished.” | Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.” |

| If I have the gift of prophecy and the ability to understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and have all the faith necessary to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. | If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don’t have love, I am nothing. |
| If you confess with your lips, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. | That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. |
| If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple. | If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are. |
| As much as possible, and to the extent of your ability, live in peace with everyone. | If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. |
| And if one should fall, his companion will help him up. How pathetic is the man who is alone and falls and has no one to assist him to his feet. | For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up. |
| If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. | If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. |
