| What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. | When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. |
| Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. | Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops. |

| And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? | Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? |
| No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. | No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. |

| My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. | O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch. |
