But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy, And afterward to reconsider his vows.It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.
You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
It is honorable for a man to stop striving, Since any fool can start a quarrel.It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.
Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil.Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.
Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; They fly away like an eagle toward heaven.Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
