This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” Romans 1:17	For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.” faith righteousness salvation
You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. Genesis 50:20	As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to save many people alive, as is happening today. God life evil
But I say, do not make any vows! Do not say, ‘By heaven!’ because heaven is God’s throne. And do not say, ‘By the earth!’ because the earth is his footstool. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. Then Peter said, “Ananias, why have you let Satan fill your heart? You lied to the Holy Spirit, and you kept some of the money for yourself. The property was yours to sell or not sell, as you wished. And after selling it, the money was also yours to give away. How could you do a thing like this? Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it. Proverbs 22:6	Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. righteousness family children

Don’t trap yourself by making a rash promise to God and only later counting the cost. Proverbs 20:25	It is a snare to a man to make a rash dedication, then later to consider his vows. holiness righteousness
All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. 1 Corinthians 9:25	Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. self-control reward eternal life
I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. 1 Corinthians 9:27	But I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified. self-control judgment body
No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:15-16	Neither do you light a lamp and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.
