| When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me. | When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, namely, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, He will testify about Me. |
| But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. | But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. |

| When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment. | And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment. |
| Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. | Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full. |
| I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father. | I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father. |

| My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. | I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them away from the evil one. |

Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” | Jesus said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’ ” |
| Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” | So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” |
| Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” | Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you now believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.” |

| Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. | That which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit. |
