| Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action. | Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. |

| No one who denies the Son has the Father; everyone who confesses the Son has the Father also. | Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. |
| I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture. | Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. |
