See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! So, what about eating meat that has been offered to idols? And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help. | The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. |
Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time! | A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! |
In the night I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek you. For only when you come to judge the earth will people learn what is right. | With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. |
