But He knows the way I take; When He has put me to the test, I will come out as gold. My foot has held on to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside. | But he knows the way that I take. When a man takes a new wife, he is not to go out with the army, nor be assigned any duty; he shall be free at home for one year and shall make his wife whom he has taken happy. | When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, neither shall he be assigned any business. He has made everything appropriate in its time. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not get upset because of one who is successful in his way, Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes. | Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen. |
But He answered and said, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God.’ ” | But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth.’” |
But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and frolic like calves from the stall. | But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out and leap like calves of the stall. |
And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. | And hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. |
But let justice roll out like waters, And righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. | But let justice roll on like rivers, and righteousness like a mighty stream. |
The one who overcomes will be clothed the same way, in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. | He who overcomes will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. |
And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed. | And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work. |
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. | But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. |
The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ | He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water. |

For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons and daughters by which we cry out, “Abba! You shall not oppress any widow or orphan. But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will come forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His times of coming forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity. | But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come out to me who is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings out are from of old, from ancient times. |
