| Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. | The Lord will protect you against all evil; he will watch over your life. | Don’t weary yourself to be rich. In your wisdom, show restraint. | Do not wear yourself out in the pursuit of wealth, and cease even to think about it. |
| Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. | Turn away from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart. |

| When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, neither shall he be assigned any business. He will be free to stay at home for one year so that he can bring happiness to the wife whom he has married. |
| You who love Yahweh, hate evil! He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. | Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he protects the souls of his faithful ones and rescues them from the hand of the wicked. |
| He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, “All of you drink it, for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.” | Then he took a cup, and after offering thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from this, all of you. | And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work. | And God is able to enrich you with an abundance of every grace, so that, with all of your needs provided for, you may be able to produce a surplus of good works. |
| He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water. | Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, ‘Streams of living water shall flow from within him.’ |
| For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps. | This, in fact, is what you have been called to do, because Christ himself suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in his footsteps. |
| Yahweh God made a woman from the rib which he had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. | The Lord God then formed a woman out of the rib that he had taken from the man. He brought her before the man. The man said, “This one is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called woman because she was taken from man.” This is why a man leaves his father and his mother and joins with a wife, and the two become one flesh. |
