| Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them. | I urge you, brethren, to watch out for those who incite dissensions and obstacles in opposition to the teaching that you have learned. Take care to avoid them. |
| He has made everything beautiful in its time. | Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake. | Blessed are you when people hate you and ostracize you, when they insult you and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man. |

| And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work. | And God is able to enrich you with an abundance of every grace, so that, with all of your needs provided for, you may be able to produce a surplus of good works. |

| Behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” | And a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” |
| In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; yes, God has made the one side by side with the other, to the end that man should not find out anything after him. | When things are going well, be grateful for your blessings, and in times of adversity consider this: God has made both of them, so that we cannot predict with confidence what the future holds. |
| This also comes out from Yahweh of Armies, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom. | All this knowledge comes from the Lord of hosts whose counsel is wonderful and whose wisdom is great. |
