But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. John 3:21	But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God. light truth obedience
May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace. This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. 1 John 1:5	This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. sin God light

The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? Psalm 27:1	The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? safety fear light
So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord! Psalm 31:24	Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord. hope encouragement heart
They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strong arm that gave them victory. It was your right hand and strong arm and the blinding light from your face that helped them, for you loved them. But most of all, my brothers and sisters, never take an oath, by heaven or earth or anything else. Just say a simple yes or no, so that you will not sin and be condemned. No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. Luke 8:16	No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light. honesty holiness light
Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14	Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship is there between light and darkness? law righteousness relationships
I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27	Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart. If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying. Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires. Romans 13:14	Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. desires addiction Jesus
I have tried hard to find you— don’t let me wander from your commands. Psalm 119:10	With my whole heart I seek you; do not let me stray from your commandments. law righteousness heart
Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear! But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9	But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people, in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. evangelism salvation holiness
Instead, let us test and examine our ways. Let us turn back to the Lord. Lamentations 3:40	Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the Lord. conversion repentance life
For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 2 Corinthians 4:17	For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure. eternal life suffering encouragement

Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Hold firmly to the word of life.

Do all things without murmuring and arguing, so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine like stars in the world. It is by your holding fast to the word of life.
