- All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.
- Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.
- And every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. - I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!” - For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
- For the Scriptures say,
“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bend to me,
and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.’” - If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.
- Finally, I confessed all my sins to you
and stopped trying to hide my guilt.
I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.”
And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. - Who is the King of glory?
The Lord of Heaven’s Armies—
he is the King of glory. - All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine.
- Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
- This is how we know if they have the Spirit of God: If a person claiming to be a prophet acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in a real body, that person has the Spirit of God. But if someone claims to be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here.
- And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”
For by that one offering he forever made perfect those who are being made holy.
