Listen, my son, and receive my sayings. The years of your life will be many. Proverbs 4:10	My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life. Word of God obedience law

He who guards his mouth guards his soul. One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. Proverbs 13:3	Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything. speaking wisdom life
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10	For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. creation Jesus following
Yahweh is with you while you are with him; and if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you. 2 Chronicles 15:2b	The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you. seeking nearness reliability
For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory. 2 Corinthians 4:17	For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! eternal life suffering encouragement
But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. 1 Timothy 6:9	But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. money greed materialism
But I am hard pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Yet to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake. Philippians 1:23-24	I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me. But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live. death life
For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through perseverance and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:4	Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled. For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor; if you don’t oppress the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, and don’t shed innocent blood in this place, and don’t walk after other gods to your own hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from of old even forever more. Jeremiah 7:5-7	But I will be merciful only if you stop your evil thoughts and deeds and start treating each other with justice; only if you stop exploiting foreigners, orphans, and widows; only if you stop your murdering; and only if you stop harming yourselves by worshiping idols. Yahweh, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness, for they are from old times. Don’t remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions. But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction. Romans 3:21-22	But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. faith law righteousness
Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh. For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8	But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. trust blessing fruitfulness
