For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons and daughters of God. | Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. |
Beloved, let’s love one another; for love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. | Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. |

Not to us, Lord, not to us, But to Your name give glory, Because of Your mercy, because of Your truth. | Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory because of your kindness and faithfulness. |
Remember, Lord, Your compassion and Your faithfulness, For they have been from of old. Do not remember the sins of my youth or my wrongdoings; Remember me according to Your faithfulness, For Your goodness’ sake, Lord. | Be mindful, O Lord, that mercy and kindness have been yours from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth or my many transgressions, but remember me in your kindness, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord. |
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. | In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. |
You, Lord, will not withhold Your compassion from me; Your mercy and Your truth will continually watch over me. | O Lord, do not withhold your mercy from me; may your kindness and your truth keep me safe forever. |
Certainly goodness and faithfulness will follow me all the days of my life, And my dwelling will be in the house of the Lord forever. | Only goodness and kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever. |
For nothing will be impossible with God. | For nothing will be impossible for God. |
But I have trusted in Your faithfulness; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, Because He has looked after me. | As for me, I trust in your kindness; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord because he has been good to me. |
“And tear your heart and not merely your garments.” Now return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger, abounding in mercy And relenting of catastrophe. | Rend your hearts and not your garments, and turn back to the Lord, your God. For he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, rich in kindness, and always prepared to relent from punishing. |
Who is a God like You, who pardons wrongdoing And passes over a rebellious act of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy. | What god can compare with you, the God who takes away guilt and forgives the transgressions of the remnant of your people? You will not allow your anger to fester forever, for your delight is in bestowing mercy. |
The Lord will accomplish what concerns me; Your faithfulness, Lord, is everlasting; Do not abandon the works of Your hands. | The Lord will fulfill his plan for me. Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the work of your hands. |
For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus. | For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and man, Christ Jesus, himself a man. |
My salvation and my glory rest on God; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. | My deliverance and my glory depend on God; he is my mighty rock and my refuge. |
Be gracious to me, God, according to Your faithfulness; According to the greatness of Your compassion, wipe out my wrongdoings. Wash me thoroughly from my guilt And cleanse me from my sin. | Have mercy on me, O God, in accord with your kindness; in your abundant compassion wipe away my offenses. Wash me completely from my guilt, and cleanse me from my sin. |
Protect me, God, for I take refuge in You. | Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge. |
In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? | In God, whose word I praise, in God I place my trust and know no fear; what can people do to me? |
But as for me, I will be on the watch for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. | But as for me, I will look to the Lord. I place my hope in God my savior; my God will hear me. |
If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are. | If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple. |
Because Your favor is better than life, My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. | Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself; thus my lips will speak your praise. I will bless you all my life; with uplifted hands I will call on your name. |
Let me hear Your faithfulness in the morning, For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul. | At dawn let me experience your kindness, for in you I place my trust. Show me the path I must walk, for to you I lift up my soul. |
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, God, You will not despise. | My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a contrite and humble heart, O God, you will not spurn. |
No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us. | No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God abides in us, and his love is made complete in us. |
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. | Blessed are the pure of heart, for they will see God. |
Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.” | Jesus looked at them and said, “For men it is impossible, but not for God. For God all things are possible.” |
