Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. Proverbs 16:9	A man may plan his own course, but the Lord makes his steps secure. planning marriage dependence

So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall. Hebrews 4:11	Let us then make every effort to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall by following that example of refusing to believe. sabbath obedience rest

A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare. Proverbs 15:1	A gentle reply turns away wrath, but a harsh word arouses anger. speaking gentleness anger
For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way. James 3:2	For all of us fall short in many ways. God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? Numbers 23:19	God is not human, that he should lie, or the son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act, does he promise and then not fulfill it? God reliability promises

“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.”
