Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good. Deuteronomy 8:5	Thus you could understand that the Lord, your God, was disciplining you, just like a father disciplines his son. Father learning punishment
I, yes I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear? Isaiah 51:12	I, I alone, am the one who comforts you. Why then do you fear mortal men who must die, human beings who must perish like grass? comforter fear encouragement
The rich can pay a ransom for their lives, but the poor won’t even get threatened. Proverbs 13:8	A wealthy man pays a ransom to save his life; a poor man never has to worry about such threats. money materialism fear

Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart. Proverbs 21:2	A man’s ways may seem right to him, but the Lord weighs the heart. righteousness judgment understanding
Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling. Proverbs 20:3	It is honorable to avoid strife, but every fool is quarrelsome. speaking peace anger
Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly. Psalm 112:5	The future bodes well for him who is generous in helping those in need and who conducts his affairs with justice. generosity mercy honesty
So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” Hebrews 13:6	Therefore, we can say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?” trust fear protection
Then the Lord God said, “Look, the human beings have become like us, knowing both good and evil. What if they reach out, take fruit from the tree of life, and eat it? Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation. But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin. Job 5:17	Blessed is the man whom God reproves. Therefore, do not reject the discipline of the Almighty. punishment suffering blessing
Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. Psalm 1:1	Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the company of scoffers. sin righteousness blessing
We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. Proverbs 16:9	A man may plan his own course, but the Lord makes his steps secure. planning marriage dependence
