Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.The Lord God then formed a woman out of the rib that he had taken from the man. He brought her before the man. The man said, “This one is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called woman because she was taken from man.” This is why a man leaves his father and his mother and joins with a wife, and the two become one flesh.
So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.So Christ, having been offered once to take away the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly waiting for him.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the hearts.A man’s ways may seem right to him, but the Lord weighs the heart.
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his very life?
The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.The fear of others will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is secure.
Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.Anxiety in the human heart weighs it down, but a kind word makes it glad.
Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will persist in their evil ways.
A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.The future bodes well for him who is generous in helping those in need and who conducts his affairs with justice.
It is honorable for a man to stop striving, Since any fool can start a quarrel.It is honorable to avoid strife, but every fool is quarrelsome.
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.However, those who want riches fall into temptations and are trapped into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.
Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty, And before honor is humility.A man is haughty until disaster overtakes him, but humility comes before honors.
So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”Therefore, we can say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?”
The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy man will be put to forced labor.Authority will be granted to the diligent, but the lazy will be enslaved.
This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.In my anguish I cried out; the Lord heard my plea, and I was saved from all my troubles.
A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself; The simple pass on and are punished.The prudent man perceives danger and seeks shelter, while the simple continue forward and pay the penalty.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your noble confession of faith in the presence of many witnesses.
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.Remember this, my beloved brethren: everyone should be quick to listen but slow to speak and slow to anger.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked. A person will reap only what he sows.

Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.Therefore, you must also be prepared, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. Since you have been faithful in small matters, I will give you much greater responsibilities. Come and share your master’s joy.’
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.The love of money is the root of all evils, and in their desire for it some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many serious wounds.
And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”Then he went on, “It is what comes out of a person that defiles. For from within, from the human heart, come evil thoughts, unchastity, theft, murder, adultery, avarice, malice, deceit, indecency, envy, slander, arrogance, and folly. All these evils come from within, and they defile a person.”
