In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures. | By his own choice he gave us birth through the way of truth so that we may be a kind of firstfruits of all his creation. |
