Matthew 24:24 (3/5)

But as for you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
And when you are praying, do not use thoughtless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard because of their many words. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.’In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Now whenever you fast, do not make a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they distort their faces so that they will be noticed by people when they are fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
But as for you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that your fasting will not be noticed by people but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal.Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth. No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather crops into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more important than they?Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Do not judge, so that you will not be judged.Judge not, that you be not judged.
Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it.Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.

But when Jesus heard this, He said, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.”When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”

Bible verse of the day

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by people.
