My joy (2/4)

In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul. When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God's grace.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts; so I am helped, and my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.A wise child makes a glad father, but a foolish child is a mother's grief.
In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.On God rests my deliverance and my honor; my mighty rock, my refuge is in God.
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.Though the fig tree does not blossom, and no fruit is on the vines; though the produce of the olive fails and the fields yield no food; though the flock is cut off from the fold and there is no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the God of my salvation.
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.
For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. It is you who light my lamp; the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness.
He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall never be shaken.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word. You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine.My child, if your heart is wise, my heart too will be glad.
Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.Give heed to my reproof; I will pour out my thoughts to you; I will make my words known to you.
Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.
In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.
Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear to my cry; do not hold your peace at my tears. For I am your passing guest, an alien, like all my forebears.
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him.
