- These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
- I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me:

thy comforts delight my soul.
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
