- But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
- The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty;
he will save,
he will rejoice over thee with joy;
he will rest in his love,
he will joy over thee with singing. - The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him. - A wise son maketh a glad father:
but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. - I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
my God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. - Although the fig tree shall not blossom,
neither shall fruit be in the vines;
the labour of the olive shall fail,
and the fields shall yield no meat;
the flock shall be cut off from the fold,
and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation. - In God is my salvation and my glory:
the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. - I delight to do thy will, O my God:
yea, thy law is within my heart. - My flesh and my heart faileth:
but God is the strength of my heart,
and my portion for ever. - He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. - For thou wilt light my candle:
the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - He only is my rock and my salvation;
he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. - Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. - Thou art my hiding place and my shield:
I hope in thy word. - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path. - My son, if thine heart be wise,
my heart shall rejoice, even mine. - In my distress I called upon the Lord,
and cried unto my God:
he heard my voice out of his temple,
and my cry came before him, even into his ears. - Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation. - Turn you at my reproof:
behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you,
I will make known my words unto you. - Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear unto my cry;
hold not thy peace at my tears:
for I am a stranger with thee,
and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. - The statutes of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. - My soul, wait thou only upon God;
for my expectation is from him. - And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
- He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
- Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.
Lord, all my desire is before thee;
and my groaning is not hid from thee.But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
