Psalm 16:1 (2/9)

The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace. The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
In you, Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness. In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.
My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me.My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.
Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love.Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake.
How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!
Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.
Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.
The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love.Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy.
May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
