- As the deer pants for the water brooks,
so my soul pants after you, God. - My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God? - Deep calls to deep at the noise of your waterfalls.
All your waves and your billows have swept over me. - Yahweh will command his loving kindness in the daytime.
In the night his song shall be with me:
a prayer to the God of my life. - Why are you in despair, my soul?
Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God! For I shall still praise him,
the saving help of my countenance, and my God. - For they didn’t get the land in possession by their own sword,
neither did their own arm save them;
but your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face,
because you were favorable to them. - God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations.
I will be exalted in the earth. - Have mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness.
According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity.
Cleanse me from my sin. - Create in me a clean heart, O God.
Renew a right spirit within me. - The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit.
O God, you will not despise a broken and contrite heart. - Behold, God is my helper.
The Lord is the one who sustains my soul. - Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you.
He will never allow the righteous to be moved. - When I am afraid,
I will put my trust in you. - In God, I praise his word.
In God, I put my trust.
I will not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? - Be exalted, God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be above all the earth! - For your great loving kindness reaches to the heavens,
and your truth to the skies. - But I will sing of your strength.
Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning.
For you have been my high tower,
a refuge in the day of my distress. - My soul rests in God alone.
My salvation is from him. - He alone is my rock, my salvation, and my fortress.
I will never be greatly shaken. - My soul, wait in silence for God alone,
for my expectation is from him. - He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress.
I will not be shaken. - My salvation and my honor is with God.
The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. - Also to you, Lord, belongs loving kindness,
for you reward every man according to his work. - God, you are my God.
I will earnestly seek you.
My soul thirsts for you.
My flesh longs for you,
in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.
Because your loving kindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise you.
So I will bless you while I live.
I will lift up my hands in your name.Where could I go from your Spirit?
Or where could I flee from your presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, you are there.
If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there! I will lift up my eyes to the hills.
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from Yahweh,
who made heaven and earth.Next verse! With image
